The Roundtable issued the reporg in collaboration with the University of Massachusett Boston Emerging Leaders A team from the Emerging Leadera Program started working on the reportlast summer, interviewint 20 Massachusetts companies about theirt corporate social responsibility activitie s -- predominantly large companes and representing a cross-section of industries. “Historicallty CEOs would engage in philanthropy because it was the righrt thingto do. They wanted to be good corporatr citizens,” said J.D. Chesloff, deputuy director of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. “Now there’s a good businessx case to incorporating it into theirbusineses plan.
