According to Hillary Pennington, director of postsecondary success at theGates Foundation, collegew enrollment rates have increased rapidly over the past 40 but completion rates have not kept “Getting students to college isn’y enough, we must help them get through Pennington said in a statement.
Announcedf last year, the Gatexs Foundation’s Postsecondary Success initiative aims to double the numbefrof low-income students who by age 26 earn a post-hignh school degree or credential.
